So you must be wondering what is Infolinks and what for it is used in blog?

So Why I selected Infolinks?

You can see I already have Google Adsense on my blog and I was looking for some other way to generated revenue from ads.I heard about in text links advertising, its very easy to implement and does not bother readers much.See the below example of ad from Infolinks.

If you are seeing my blog you can see a double underlined (in blue color) to some text, these are contextual ads from Infolinks.When you put your mouse on these link you can see the some hover advertisement, which when clicked will redirect to advertiser page in new window.

Infolinks makes it easier to generate revenue from my blog as well as it shares maximum revenue with publisher.I tried other in text links like adbrite etc but I left it as the revenue was very less.I switched to Infolinks and my ads page loads time has decreased and also help me getting more revenue.

I already implemented it on other blog and after it success I decided to finally use it on this blog.The most interesting thing is id daily and summary report which is easy to see and also report based on certain date interval.

I heard about Infolinks from one of the forum and after that there is no looking back.I am targeting to make $100/month from Infolinks in coming next month.

How to Integrate Infolinks to your site?

Well first you need to create a new publisher account on Infolinks  and then you need to submit your site to them, If you will not violate any TOS(terms of services) of Infolinks, they will approve your application within 1 day.you can then go to integration guide and pickup small piece of code which you need to insert in your blog or site.

I followed the instructions on Infolinks’ regarding how to install and went ahead and placed their code on two of my blogs. After one day when then approved my blogs the ads started to display, Infolinks has two options to display ads one has double underlined words and other is dotted lines, you can choose one of them(As mentioned in above picture).It shows the readers that it is an advertisement.

So implementation of Infolinks ads code was really very easy and really customizable.They give you freedom to change the link color of your ad, the number of ads displayed on a page, and even your Website/blog content’s category with simple point and click implementation.(As mentioned in above picture)

The sample code from Infolinks will be like this:

you need to insert it just before </body> tag of your html page.

To insert it in wordpress is little tricky.here how to do this.

Go to your Appearance–>Editor page from left menu of wordpress admin.Then select the footer.php file from right side of window.you can see the </body> tag in that.insert the piece of code you got from Infoliks just before </body> tag.

you’re done!The ads now will be start displaying on your site within seconds.From the publisher admin account of Infolinks you can customize ads appearance like color, size, no of ads etc.Its so easy!

How is Support?

Well personally I found Infolinks support very friendly and supportive.They can help you integrate the ads code to your site.Also their response time is great, I got all my query resolved within maximum 24 hours.

How happy I am with earnings?

Now, to the important point… All Money!! that is Earning. With Infolinks, you may at first little disappointed with the amount you get per click. This holds true especially if you are habit of getting more money with program like adsense, that may gets you $3.00 per click. I heard they pay around $0.12 a click. This is pretty good. Not sure how they will hold up in the long run, or if they pay on time.However, when you begin to notice that you’re getting more clicks because the Infolinks ads are better embedded compared to other ads on your site, you’ll stop complaining.

My Infolinks earnings are very much close to my AdSense earnings. I would say that for each $40-$50 I earn with AdSense, I earn between $10-20 with Infolinks. This is much better compared to other ads program on the net.So far my earning is less than $50 but I expect that as my site grows, I will earn even more with this program.

Currently depending on my traffic I am very much happy with the earnings.And regarding payout I heard many places in forum they are very good with monthly payout and always pays on time.We have the option to receive earning either thru paypal or direct bank wire transfer.The minimum payout is $100 and they are paying according to Net 45  days.

Conclusion

As you may not earn as much with Infolinks as you would with a program like AdSense, it is still a nice way to add up your income. In fact, if you don’t know much about AdSense or what place exactly to keep ads / or maybe AdSense is not working at all for you, Infolinks may be an even best option for you.

This holds especially true like I am running a website with webmaster readers. Webmaster readers very rarely click AdSense ads simply because they know what are ads and how they looks. However, because Infolinks is so well-blended and embedded, even experience reader will click these ads and in turn, make you money.

Advantage:

• Faster loading time of ads
• nice looking ads
• easy to implement
• cost per click is good
• Doesn’t take up any other ads space
• Easily recognizable with the double underlines or dotted lines
• Any desired color possible in ads
• One of the biggest advantage compare to other advertising solution is they are easily disabled per individual post when you don’t want them displayed. You can do this with an easy piece of code <!–INFOLINKS_OFF–>
• payout by paypal or bank transfer
• 70%-80% of revenue distributed to publisher
• You don’t need a million monthly pages to apply, only requirement is that the blog cannot be about adult or gambling

Disadvantage:

• Infolinks is new and needs to build trust
• It still needs to attract more advertisers
• Ads are sometime not very contextual
• Just like with Google AdSense, we cannot customize whether or not an advertiser’s site opens in a new window.

How do they compare to other ads network like Chitika Linx, and Kontera
Well they leave  kontera out of the race as far as I am concerned. Kontera pays about $0.01 or less per click and the ads load slower. While chitika starts of paying higher around $0.18 per click , Chitika pay less and less per week or pay and I’ve always ended up getting paid $0.05 or less. So at least for now InfoLinks.com seems to be better than both.

With all of that in mind, I have given Infolinks a try. Their support is great, earnings are nice, and the overall, “The return back from this program is really great”.
